Event Performance

Event Performance is a RUFUS Cloud feature that provides visibility into how athletes and spectators interact with your published events across the RUFUS Event App. It consolidates traffic, engagement, and interaction metrics, giving organizers a clear understanding of audience interest and behavior.

Event Performance data appears in multiple locations throughout RUFUS Cloud to give you the right insights at the right moment.

How Event Performance Works

RUFUS Cloud uses Google Analytics (GA) to collect and process page traffic and engagement data. This ensures:

  • Accurate and industry-standard measurement

  • Filtering of invalid or bot traffic

  • Reliable insight into real users

  • A scalable foundation for future, more advanced analytics

By leveraging GA, RUFUS Cloud will be able to offer deeper reporting and behavioral insights over time.

Where You Can See Event Performance

Event Performance is displayed throughout the platform in three key places:

1. Events List – Performance Summary (Last 30 Days)

At the top of the Events List, you’ll find a summary of overall engagement across all events you’ve published. This includes:

  • Page Views

  • Sessions

  • Visitors

  • Diploma Downloads

  • Messages Sent

This overview gives you an instant understanding of how your published events are performing collectively.

2. Event Cards – Per-Event Highlights

Each event card in the Events List includes a compact performance snapshot showing:

  • Page views

  • Sessions

  • Visitors

This helps you immediately compare engagement across events and identify which ones are attracting more attention.

3. Event Details – Event-Specific Metrics

When you open an event, the Event Details header displays the latest performance indicators for that specific event:

  • Page views

  • Sessions

  • Visitors

These metrics reflect activity on that event’s public page in the RUFUS Event App and update continuously.

This contextual placement helps organizers understand how specific updates (e.g., design changes, results publication, notifications) impact engagement.

Current Metrics Explained

Page Views

Total number of public page views from all visitors.

Sessions

A session represents a single visit period, which may include several page views.

Visitors

Unique readers of your event pages.

Diploma Downloads

How many participants downloaded diplomas during the current month (and comparison with last month).

Messages Sent

Number of race notifications delivered within the current month.

Why Event Performance Matters

Event Performance helps you:

  • Measure interest in upcoming events

  • Track how often participants are viewing schedules, info, and results

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of promotional efforts

  • Understand when and how people interact with your race content

  • Monitor engagement spikes when results or diplomas are published

  • Support planning for future events

Because these insights appear in multiple places, organizers always have a clear sense of event activity—whether browsing the event list, reviewing a single event, or planning updates.

Future Enhancements

Thanks to GA integration, RUFUS Cloud will introduce more advanced analytics over time, such as:

  • Audience geography

  • Device and platform breakdowns

  • Scroll and engagement depth

  • Navigation paths within event pages

  • Content-specific interaction analytics

These future upgrades will help organizers make more informed decisions and optimize how they present their events.

Summary

Event Performance is a cross-platform insight system that helps organizers understand real user activity on their event pages. Powered by Google Analytics and displayed throughout RUFUS Cloud, it enables you to track engagement trends, evaluate visibility, and optimize your event presentation—all with data available exactly where you need it.
