# Event Design & Info

The **Event Design & Info** section allows you to shape the visual identity and informational content of your event as it appears in the **RUFUS Event App**.\
Everything you configure here helps athletes understand your event, builds trust and excitement, and—when applicable—contributes to **automatic diploma generation** (indicated by a blue ⚡ icon).

This section is organized into four major areas:

1. **Event banner & logo** ⚡
2. **Event location & dates** 
3. **Registration information** 
4. **Event Info tab (rich content, video, sponsors** ⚡**, organizer details)**

Each area is described in detail below.

## **Event Banner & Logo** ⚡

This is where you upload the main visual elements that represent your event. These assets appear at the top of your public event page inside the RUFUS Event App.

#### **Features**

* **Upload banner**\
  Upload a landscape banner image (recommended **1920×480 px**, JPG/PNG, under **3MB**).\
  This image forms the event’s visual identity.
* **Change logo**\
  Upload a square event logo (recommended PNG/JPG up to **2MB**).\
  The logo accompanies your event name and race tags.
* **Reset to default**\
  Restores the default banner provided by RUFUS.
* **Remove**\
  Clears the current banner or logo.

A **live preview** shows how your banner and logo will look inside the Event App header, so you can adjust accordingly.

⚡ **Automatic Diploma Note:**\
Uploading both banner and logo enables RUFUS Cloud to automatically generate diploma templates inside the Diplomas section.

## **Event Location & Dates**

This section defines *where* the event takes place and *when* key milestones occur.\
These details help athletes plan their participation and appear prominently in the Event App.

#### **Fields**

* **City & Country**\
  Set the host city and country of the event.
* **Registration opens / Registration closes**\
  Key milestones informing athletes when they can register.
* **Event starts / Event ends**\
  The official timetable for the event.

## **Registration Information**

While RUFUS does not process registrations directly, this section helps you present pricing, discounts, and sign-up information clearly to athletes.

#### **Pricing & discounts**

* **This event is free** toggle\
  Turn this on if your event does not charge a registration fee.
* **Price from / Price up to**\
  Set a price range for your event (currency is customizable).
* **Early bird discount (%)**\
  Optional percentage discount displayed in the Event App.
* **Early bird deadline**\
  Helps create urgency and clarifies when the discount applies.

#### **Registration link & rulebook**

* **Registration link**\
  Add the URL to your external registration platform.
* **Rulebook (PDF)**\
  Upload your event rulebook (up to **10MB**).\
  Options include **Replace**, **Remove**, and **View current rulebook**.

## **Event Info Tab**

The **Event Info** tab is what athletes see when they open the “Info” section of your event in the RUFUS Event App.

#### **Featured video (YouTube)**

Paste a YouTube link to display a promotional or informational video.

#### **Sponsors carousel** ⚡

Upload up to **5 sponsor logos** for display in a rotating carousel on the Event Info tab.

⚡ **Automatic Diploma Note:**\
Uploading sponsors logo enables RUFUS Cloud to automatically generate diploma templates inside the Diplomas section.

#### **Event Info HTML**

A rich-text editor for describing your event’s story, terrain, distances, highlights, and important details.\
Supports:

* Headings
* Bold / italic / underline
* Links
* Lists
* Font size options
* Custom HTML styling within limits

Character limit: **5000**

#### **Organizer Info HTML**

Tell athletes more about your brand, mission, or event history.\
Supports the same formatting tools as the Event Info editor.\
Character limit: **2000**

#### **Contact**

Add links and social channels:

* Website
* Email
* Facebook
* Instagram
* TikTok
* YouTube

These appear at the bottom of the Event Info tab inside the Event App.
