# Devices List

The **Devices List** page in RUFUS Cloud provides a centralized overview of all timing devices associated with your account. From this page you can monitor device status, review recent activity, manage sessions, and launch new devices for race operations.

Devices can include:

* **RUFUS CloudBox** hardware units
* **RUFUS Race App** virtual devices
* **Custom timing devices** integrated via the **RUFUS Public API**

The Devices List acts as the **operational control center** for your timing infrastructure.

To access it, open **Devices** from the main navigation bar.

## Devices List Layout

The page is organized into three main sections:

1. **Device management tools**
2. **Device visualization (Card view or Table view)**
3. **Device activity information**

### Device Management Tools

At the top of the page you will find quick tools for managing devices.

#### Bind Your CloudBox

This panel allows you to generate a **temporary binding token** to connect a CloudBox device to your RUFUS Cloud account.

To bind a device:

1. Click **Generate token**.
2. Enter the generated token in the **Cloud section of the CloudBox interface**.

Once authenticated, the device will appear automatically in your Devices list and begin synchronizing with RUFUS Cloud.

#### Launch Race App

This panel allows you to create a **virtual Race App device**.

Race App devices are used by judges and race officials to manually record race events such as bib captures and race control operations.

When launching a Race App you can configure:

* **Race App alias** (device name)
* **Access token expiration time (TTL)**

After launching, the Race App can authenticate using the generated access token.

## Device Views

The Devices List supports two display modes.

### Card View

The **Card View** presents devices as visual cards, offering a quick operational overview.

Each card displays:

* **Device name and identifier**
* **Device availability status**
* **Number of recorded sessions**
* **Last passing timestamp**

For **CloudBox devices**, additional indicators may appear on the card header, including:

* Connection status (Online / Offline)
* Battery level
* Device temperature
* RFID reader activity

Cards provide a fast way to inspect device health and recent activity.

### Table View

<figure><img src="https://3240794926-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F1sZIrkMlXm95ujcqAqfj%2Fuploads%2FG4tcOoKuTR6vPtgKll5H%2FScreenshot%202026-03-04%20at%2022.05.00.png?alt=media&#x26;token=d4ced1e2-5339-46c9-878b-638a90f6dd5c" alt=""><figcaption><p>Devices List Card View</p></figcaption></figure>

The **Table View** provides a compact list of all devices with sortable columns.

This view is particularly useful when managing a larger fleet of devices.

The table includes the following columns.

#### Device

The device alias and device type.

Examples include:

* CloudBox
* Race App
* API devices
* Other integrated timing devices

#### Identifier

The unique identifier of the device within the RUFUS ecosystem.

Examples include:

* CloudBox serial numbers
* Race App instance IDs
* Public API device identifiers

#### Event

Shows whether the device is currently available or assigned to an event.

#### Sessions

Displays the number of timing sessions recorded by the device.

#### Status

Indicates the current operational state of the device.

Examples include:

* **Available**
* **Offline**
* **No active token** (Race App devices without a valid token)

#### Last Passing

Shows when the device last recorded a passing.

This helps identify recent device activity.

#### Actions

Available actions may include:

* **Open** the device dashboard
* **View device location**
* **Manage device configuration**
* **Delete or reset the device**

## Sorting and Filtering Devices

When using **Table View**, devices can be organized using the available filters.

### Event Filter

Allows you to filter devices by the event they are currently associated with.

### Sort Options

Devices can be sorted using different criteria, such as:

* **Last passing (newest first)**
* Other device attributes

Sorting helps identify the most recently active devices during race operations.

## Real-Time Device Monitoring

All device information displayed on the Devices List page updates **in real time**.

This includes:

* Device connectivity
* Recent passings
* Session counts
* Battery levels (CloudBox)
* Device status changes

This real-time visibility allows race organizers to quickly detect operational issues and monitor device activity across the entire event infrastructure.

## Typical Use Cases

The Devices List page is commonly used to:

* Monitor the health of all timing devices
* Launch Race App instances for judges
* Bind new CloudBox devices
* Inspect device activity and sessions
* Access device dashboards

It serves as the **central entry point for device management in RUFUS Cloud**.
