Device Details

The Device Details page in RUFUS Cloud provides an in-depth view of a selected timing device. To access the details page for a device, click on its card in the Devices List. Depending on the type of device, the information displayed may vary. Below, we outline what you can expect to see for different types of devices, particularly CloudBox devices.

CloudBox Device Details

When viewing the details of a CloudBox device, you will see the following information and tabs:

  • Battery and CPU Temperature: Displays current battery percentage, voltage, and CPU temperature to help you monitor the device's performance and health.

  • Connection Information: Indicates whether the device is Online, Offline, or actively reading. This helps you understand the device's current status at a glance.

  • Device Availability or Event Assignment: Shows whether the device is available or currently assigned to an event.

Tabs Available for CloudBox Devices

Sessions Tab:

  • Lists all available sessions on the device, each represented by a file name (e.g., "20241010-092029.txt"). The number of passings recorded in each session is also displayed.

  • If there is an active session, it will be indicated with an ACTIVE badge.

Location Tab:

  • Displays the last known location of the device using an embedded Google Maps view.

  • Information includes the last GPS synchronization timestamp and the latitude and longitude of the device's location. Clicking on the map allows you to explore the precise position of the device.

Status Tab:

  • The Status Tab provides a comprehensive overview of the device's operational health, including:

    • IoT Connection Status: Displays whether the device is connected to IoT services, including the last seen timestamp and disconnection reason if applicable.

    • Power Status: Shows whether the device is charging (has power), including the current battery voltage, battery percentage, and CPU temperature.

    • Operation Status: Provides details on the Reader Status and whether the RFID reader is healthy.

    • 4G Status: Indicates the 4G connection status, including any error messages or details on SIM status.

    • GPS Status: Shows whether GPS data is available and provides the current status of GPS synchronization.

Other Device Types

For RUFUS Timing Apps and Custom Devices, the following information is available on the Device Details page:

  • Device Availability or Event Assignment: Shows whether the device is available or assigned to an event.

  • Sessions Tab: Displays all available sessions recorded on the device. If a session is currently active, it will be marked with an ACTIVE badge.

  • Location Tab: Displays the last known location of the device using an embedded Google Maps view, with details on the last synchronization and coordinates adquired from the last passing with latitude and longitude information.

Editing Device Alias

From the Device Details page, users can also edit the device alias by clicking the pencil icon next to the device name. This allows you to give your device a custom, meaningful name, making it easier to organize and identify within the Devices List.

Unbinding and Purging Devices

From the Device Details page, users can unbind or purge (delete all sessions and passings) the device. This operations are irreversible and must be handled with caution.

When you unbind or purge a device all the passings recorded for the events where the device was used are NOT DELETED, as they are part of a classification.
