Binding your timing devices to RUFUS Cloud is the first step in integrating them with the platform to manage timing events effectively. You can bind a device in two different ways:
Generate a Token: Tokens are used to quickly bind a device to RUFUS Cloud. Currently, compatible devices for token binding are the RUFUS Timing App and the RUFUS CloudBox.
API Keys: For more advanced integration, you can use API keys in conjunction with the RUFUS Public API. This method allows you to connect virtually any timing device with the Cloud. For more details, refer to the .
To bind a timing device using a token, follow these steps:
Access the Devices Section: Click on the Devices link in the navigation bar to go to the Devices list.
Generate a Token: Locate the Bind a dew device card, as shown in the image above. Press the Generate token button to create a new token. The generated token will be displayed, and it will expire after about 2 hours.

Binding your timing devices to RUFUS Cloud is easy and efficient, whether you are using a token for quick setup or an API key for more advanced integration. Once bound, these devices can be used within the RUFUS Race Manager software to manage all aspects of your race timing operations. Select the method that works best for you, and start timing your events seamlessly.
Use the Token: Insert the generated token in your timing device to bind it to your RUFUS Cloud account. Once the device is bound, it will be accessible via for use during race timing.
