Archiving and Deleting Timing Sessions

The RUFUS Timing App provides simple options to manage your timing sessions, including archiving and deleting them when needed. Follow the steps below to understand how to archive and permanently delete a session.

Archiving a Session

Archiving a session removes it from the active sessions view and stores it in the archive for future reference. Here are the steps to archive a session:

  • Swipe Left: In the Sessions view, swipe the session you want to archive to the left.

  • Long Tap Option: Alternatively, long tap the session and then tap the Archive icon in the upper-right menu.

Once archived, the session is moved to the Archive view. In the Archive view, you can review session details, share them, or delete them permanently if needed.

Deleting a Session

If you wish to permanently delete a session from your device:

  • Go to the Archive view, where all archived sessions are listed.

  • Swipe Left: To delete a session, swipe the session you want to delete to the left.

Deleted sessions are removed from your device but not from the cloud, where they are permanently stored. This means you can still access the data from your RUFUS Cloud account even after deleting it from the app.


By archiving and managing sessions efficiently, you can keep your active sessions organized and ensure that only the relevant data is retained. Use the delete option cautiously to avoid losing important information permanently.
