# Connecting your Cloud Devices with Wiclax

As of Wiclax software version **10.1.1151**, RUFUS Cloud devices can seamlessly connect to Wiclax, allowing real-time data integration for race timing. This guide will walk you through the steps to establish this connection quickly and effortlessly.

## Step-by-Step Guide

### Step 1: Generate Your API Key

Before connecting your RUFUS Cloud device, ensure you have generated an API token from your Cloud account. This token enables Wiclax to securely access your data.

### Step 2: Open the Acquisition Window

Launch Wiclax and navigate to the **Acquisition** window, the central hub for managing data sources.

### Step 3: Add a RUFUS Cloud Acquisition

In the Acquisition window:

* Click on the **Online passings** menu.
* Select **Rufus Cloud** from the dropdown list.

This will create a new RUFUS Cloud acquisition in your acquisitions list.

### Step 4: Configure Acquisition Device and Session

* Select your newly created RUFUS Cloud acquisition.
* In the properties panel:
* Enter your generated API key into the **API Key** field.
* Click on the **Server device acquisition** dropdown menu and select your device and timing session. Allow a moment for the list to refresh and populate available sessions.

After configuring your device and session:

* Set your desired refresh frequency for retrieving timing data.
* Specify the period for importing the timing data.
* Click the **Play button** to begin importing timing data into Wiclax.
