# Publishing the Event

Publishing an event in **RUFUS Race Manager** allows race details and results to be shared seamlessly through the **RUFUS Event App**. Published events are managed in the [**RUFUS Cloud Event's Dashboard**](/rufus-cloud/events-management/events-list.md)**.**

## How to Publish an Event

To publish an event to the **RUFUS Cloud** go to the **Settings** tab of the event and change the event status from **DRAFT** to **PUBLISHED**.

Once the event is published the name, edition and start date cannot be modified. The event will be assigned a **public URL**, formatted based on the event name and edition, for example: [https://events.runonrufus.com/event/run-to-the-hills-2025](https://events.runonrufus.com/es/event/run-to-the-hills-2025)

Once published, the event will be listed in the **Events** section of **RUFUS Cloud**, where users can:

* Modify the **event name, edition, or publication details** before it is made public.
* Adjust **visibility settings** and **background image**.
* Retrieve and share the **public event link**.

You can also publish the event to RUFUS Event app directly from the top bar publication switch.
